What are cookies and similar technologies?

Cookies are text files that websites store on a visitor’s device to uniquely identify the visitor’s browser or to store information or settings in the browser for the purpose of helping you navigate between pages efficiently, remembering your preferences, enabling functionality, and helping us understand activity and patterns.

Functionality / performance. We use these cookies to enhance the functionality and performance of the Services.

Analytics. We use these cookies to help us understand how our Services are performing and being used.

Email Interaction Technology: Our emails may contain web beacons to tell us whether they are opened and verify any clicks through to links within an email. We (and our marketing service provider on our behalf) use this information to help us understand how an email campaign performed, what types of emails and content our recipients find interesting, and what actions our recipients took, so we can improve our email campaigns in the future and make our emails more relevant to our recipients. If you do not wish the web beacon to be downloaded onto your device, you should select to receive emails from us in plain text rather than HTML.

Hotjar	Analytics	365 days	We use Hotjar in order to better understand our users’ needs and to optimize this service and experience. Hotjar is a technology service that helps us better understand our users’ experience (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like, etc.) and this enables us to build and maintain our service with user feedback. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data on our users’ behavior and their devices. This includes a device's IP address (processed during your session and stored in a de-identified form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), and the preferred language used to display our website. Hotjar stores this information on our behalf in a pseudonymized user profile. Hotjar is contractually forbidden to sell any of the data collected on our behalf.
Stripe	Essential Analytics	365 days	We use Stripe to process payments, detect and prevent fraud, and understand how people interact with Stripe in our application. There are some cookies that are essential for Stripe to function properly.
Heap	Analytics	13 months	We use Heap in order to better understand how our users are utilizing our application. Heap uses cookies to collect user session information and track actions and events throughout our application.
DataDog	Analytics	15 minutes - 4 hours	We use Datadog to collect real time session information from user sessions, to help understand how users are utilizing our application, collect important events such as error logs and replay data for session replay. The RUM Browser SDK relies on cookies to store session information and follow a user session across different pages. The cookies are first-party (they are set on your domain) and are not used for cross-site tracking.

How can you control the use of cookies?

Depending on where you access the Services from, you may be presented with a cookie banner or other tool to provide permissions prior to non-Essential cookies being set. In this case, we only set these non-Essential cookies with your consent.
